Position Description

Chaos Labs is the first automated, on-chain economic security system enabling crypto protocols to optimize risk management and capital efficiency while protecting user funds. We use world-class custom EVM and on-chain simulations to understand protocol mechanics and scenario implications.

Our platform and tools are used by leading protocols, helping them manage and secure billions of dollars in assets such as Aave, Benqi, Osmosis, Uniswap, and more.

We are looking for a Content Marketer who can own the written word of Chaos Labs across multiple mediums and ensure that we are telling our story the way we want it to be told. You will own the strategy and delivery of content across social media platforms and blogs while working closely with our business team in community forums. You will report directly to the VP, Business Operations.

We are looking for a candidate with a passion for crypto (especially DeFi) and a track record of excellent technical content with a knack for engaging a sophisticated audience.

Responsibilities

  • This is Chaos Lab’s first full-time marketing hire and will come with a great deal of optionality in how they fill their day with regard to general marketing activities. In the early days of Chaos’ history, we have noticed that one of the most important avenues for customer engagement is in long-form (and converted short-form) writing about what we’re building and how to use it.

    • Core responsibilities:
  • Concept, develop, and hone the core Chaos Labs voice and identity across multiple mediums
  • Writing clear, concise, and engaging content for professional audiences about DeFi risk, including articles, reports, blogs, and social media posts.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop content that furthers business goals and objectives.
  • Developing content strategies to establish Chaos Labs as a thought leader in the industry.
  • Drive continued external visibility by working with media outlets and conference organizers for enhanced brand exposure
  • Manage our Social media accounts such as LinkedIn and Twitter

  • As Chaos Labs’ first full-time marketing employee, you’ll have the opportunity to expand your scope into a host of other marketing domains as you (and the company) scale. Some areas of growth and opportunity for the right hire are:
  • Collaborate on and define the company’s broader brand vision
  • Run data-led experiments to determine where resources should be focused across social platforms
  • Project manage major announcements and launch campaigns from initial concept to execution
  • Work closely with the broader business team on go-to-market strategy for customer acquisition
  • Effectively source, diligence, and partner with external agencies brought on to expand the scope of Chaos Labs’ marketing
  • Dive into data to present management with insights into marketing campaign success and strategies

    • Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in marketing-related roles with prior poof points of project ownership
  • History of technical content generation from ideation to execution in both long-form (blogs) and short-form delivery (Twitter or LinkedIn)
  • Excitement around crypto / web3 and desire to truly integrate yourself into the ecosystem
  • Ability to understand and translate technical concepts for a wide audience
  • Demonstrated experience (& excitement for) working in self-managed, fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to explain complex topics in a clear way to both crypto-native and novice audiences.
  • Ability/desire to work in New York.
